If your tires could talk to you in real-time and tell you how they are feeling, what would they say? With Tactile Mobility’s technology, you know.

Our software, residing in the vehicle’s ECU, leverages existing, built-in sensors (wheel speed, wheel angle, RPM, pedal and gear position) to tell the driver that the road conditions are causing the car’s tires to lose their grip on the road – enabling the driver to take immediate corrective action.

There’s a vast difference between driving on a dry road and one coated with black ice. Often, it’s not visible to the naked eye.

By timeously informing drivers why they’re experiencing difficulty controlling their car, road safety can be vastly improved.
Tactile Mobility collects the real-time tire data sends it to the cloud for analysis and provides the driver with actionable real-time alerts, which enables timely corrective action.

on winding roads, we’re unable to anticipate oncoming danger until we can see it – giving us very little time to respond.
But what if that information could be relayed to other drivers on the road, so they can take evasive action? With Tactile Mobility, they can.
Information on real-time driving conditions is sent to the cloud, analyzed, and distributed to all connected vehicles to provide timely warning of the conditions ahead.
Real-time data of dangerous road conditions enables vehicle to take corrective action such as slowing down or keeping a safe following distance.

Every year, thousands of accidents are caused by drivers losing control of their vehicles and skidding out of control.
The driver may have reacted by pumping the brakes, but slippery conditions may mean that that braking won’t help, because the tires are losing their grip.
Tactile Mobility is able to accurately monitor what’s happening — that it’s not the brakes that are the problem, it’s the tires.
By feeling what’s actually happening on the road, Tactile Mobility enables the appropriate corrective actions to be taken.

Dry tires can be a major safety hazard, but it’s not always obvious to the naked eye. With Tactile Mobility, changes in the tire are “felt” by the system, measuring the amount of friction between the tires and the road.
In normal conditions, it shouldn’t pose a problem, but when driving around curves or on slippery roads, it’s a recipe for disaster.
By providing timely assessment and actionable real-time alerts, Tactile Mobility is able to notify the driver that it’s time to take the tires for a checkup – long before it poses a major risk.

Worn-out tires are less able to deal with challenging road conditions such as black ice and can send the vehicle into an uncontrolled skid, endangering the driver of the vehicle and everyone else on the road.
By collecting and analyzing the real-time data, Tactile Mobility is able to alert the driver that there’s an issue with the tires which needs to be addressed.
In the event of dangerous road or weather conditions, actionable real-time alerts are sent to the vehicle and distributed via the cloud to all connected vehicles on the road, so they can slow down or keep a safe following distance.

Tactile Data for Tire Health

Tires are a serious safety and efficiency factor in automotive travel. Today, with longer service intervals and expedited tire wear in electric vehicles, automakers, automotive OEMs and fleet managers are taking a more proactive role in tire health. Yet existing systems...

By using Tactile Mobility’s weight estimation virtual sensor, it is possible to detect real-time changes in the weight of a vehicle and ensure full compliance with LCV weight regulations. Our solution not only detects the weight of the vehicle, but also provides pre-conditioning for the braking system, adaptive cruise control, and suspension adjustment, as well as improves EV range.

Tactile Mobility’s road condition maps identify road hazards such as potholes, black ice, and cracks in real-time – offering better, faster, and more objective hazard detection than existing methods such as survey vehicles and manual approaches.
